Most orders for Axon Optics products are generated through the local Prosthetics & Sensory Aids Services Departments but are also prescribed by Neurology & Optometry. We recommend contacting the Prosthetic Department in your nearest VA Hospital or Medical Center first to determine if we are an approved vendor and to get specific instructions for that department.

1. YES, AXON OPTICS IS A VENDOR FOR MY VA

If the Prosthetic Department at your main VA Hospital or Medical Center has Axon as a local vendor, your provider can enter a prescription written specifically for Axon Optics therapeutic SpectraShield FL-41 lenses into the VA system. Although this may also require seeing an optometrist for a corrective prescription, most orders do not come from Optometry.

2. NO, AXON IS NOT A VENDOR, BUT MY LOCAL VA IS A MAIN HOSPITAL OR MEDICAL FACILITY

If your the Prosthetic Department at a VA Hospital or Medical Facility does not have us as a local vendor, please email Support@AxonOptics.com so we can contact them directly.  It may require the Chief of Prosthetic approve us first.  We are happy to provide more information.  You can also give them our contact information so that we can become “vendorized” quickly.

Axon Optics makes every attempt to provide interested veterans with as much information as possible regarding our therapeutic SpectraShield FL-41 lenses.  Please review the attached purchasing instructions for your provider as it can speed up the process if you have them during your appointment. I highly recommend printing both this email and the attachment if possible.  I recommend that the order be processed by the Prosthetic Department if possible.

3. I VISIT A SMALLER OFFICE OR CLINIC THAT DOES NOT KNOW ABOUT AXON OPTICS

If you are visiting a satellite office or outpatient clinic that does not have a Prosthetic Department and/or does not know about us, your VA representative should contact the Prosthetic Department at your main hospital or medical center facility for your area and request that Axon be added as a vendor.  If we are not a vendor in the main medical facility and/or you are denied, please email Support@AxonOptics.com so we can contact them directly.  You can also give them our contact information so that we can become “vendorized” quickly.

4. MY VA WILL NOT PROVIDE THIS BENEFIT TO ME
